about
Casual Sex is co-written in Berlin with Stew of the Negro Problem. The song was written as a responds and a monument to our initiation to that cities wonderful licentious sex culture. It came about after I had been told by a lovely girl who I slept with on the first night of meeting, that her boyfriend was coming back and we were never to be. Stew knew I was somewhat heartbroken and heard me playing this piano on the communal piano in the squat we were staying. When I next saw him he handed me these lyrics.
lyrics
CASUAL SEX (lyrics)
The fleeting path that leads downstairs, into the streets which were last night.
Camden town kreusberg and Paris
But now are all out of sight
She was in New York summer drift hair way to long dress way to tight.
She’s fine but he ain’t gonna trip
She’s just a Song passing in the night
Aha ooooo
Then she leaned in and I smelled her hair and it was on like a TV show. And he’s fiending cause she touched him there. Then she held on till she was good to go.
3rd Verse
She was Los Angeles upstairs, shedding my bed like sheets of ice. If we can get to niece by June, maybe the image would suffice.
If you drink wine will take you there, how will you tell me where to go. If you think I’ll be really there, there is one thing that you should know.
He hopes that he will see her soon. She hopes that this is not the end. Of the sun the stars and the moon,
baby let's make it happen again.
Will she miss him will he miss her
Will he leave his mobile at work.
Did you know Casual sex is fair i have no change to spare my dear
You were only waiting in the wings.
